Safe Lifting
For St. Rose Staff Only.
This class is a lecture and demonstration on the safe patient handling equipment that is used at St. Rose Hospitals. Use of this equipment assures both patient and employee safety. This is a two hour hands-on training class. The materials covered include:

Quick 3 Assessment
Safe Patient Handling Guideline and other Resources
Documentation
Infection Control and Laundering Issues
Proper Body Mechanics
Completion of competency check list
Demonstration with return demonstration in:
Use of Gait Belts
Non-Friction Sheets
Hovermat
Roll-On
Sit-Stand Lift
Total Assist Lift
Bariatric Total Assist Lift
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
