Pediatric Emergencies-EDAP: Part One
This course is EDAP approved. This course offers an array of topics designed to update the ED nurse. Through the use of lecture, discussion and case scenarios the ED nurse will gain increased knowledge about: Triage, BRUE, fever, seizures, sepsis, child maltreatment, human trafficking, DKA, medication safety and burns. The topics within this course are all pre-approved on the Emergency Department Approved for Pediatric (EDAP) standards, Reference No. 316, which was revised on 6-6-2017 by the Department of Health Services, County of Los Angeles.
Attendance for both Part 1 and 2 is mandatory for all LA County emergency room nursing personnel. Classes must be taken within 6 months of each other.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
Please note processing of certificates may take up to two weeks.
