CNA Course - Cultural Competency
This course provides an indepth look at culture with examples of discrimination, indirect discrimination, bias and implicit bias. The course explains how social determinats of health should be considered within healthcare. In addition the course looks at differing disparities and how to care in a person centered way to avoid the pitfalls that lead to health disparities.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
