AB508-Workplace Violence Prevention (4 hour)
This program teaches the healthcare professional techniques to use when dealing with the potentially assaultive client. Techniques will include verbal de-escalation skills as well as humane, non-injurious, personal safety and patient restraint safety techniques. This class meets the requirements for AB508 and SB 1299 as written in Title 8. California Code of Regulations: section 3342 for Violence Prevention in Healthcare. This also meets Joint Commission standard HR.01.05.03: Staff participation in ongoing education and training.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
