Avoid Malpractice Thru Safe Practice
Avoiding Malpractice through Safe Practice: What every staff nurse needs to know about being their own risk manager. This course is for all RNs who think a malpractice claim will never happen to them. Understanding how to practice safely and protect their license through documentation, current knowledge and professional conduct is the focus. Topic include: Understanding professional negligence, Why nurses loose law suits, Documenting with the courts in mind, The EMR-an attorney's dream, What does Just Culture Really mean, Love your chain of command.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course. Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
