Med-Surg Certification Review
This two-day course will provide an overview of the requirements set by ANCC and MSNCB for the experienced Medical/Surgical nurse to sit for the certification exam. The course is designed to provide tools, knowledge, and increased confidence for the nurse in preparation for taking the examination. Topics covered from the exam content outlines will include a review of the major body systems: cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, hematological, immune system and more. Common disease processes and applicable nursing process issues will be discussed. The management of the patient will be reviewed through case studies and sample questions. All aspects of the Practice Domains will be reviewed by the end of Day 2 along with test strategies and study prep hints.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
