Case Management in Healthcare: A Basic Overview
This course is designed to provide a general overview of skills needed for the role of case management across the healthcare continuum of care. The class includes the philosophy of case management, skills needed in multiple healthcare settings, basic understanding of utilization review and utilization management, insurance coverage, reimbursement, tools and protocols. The course will include discharge planning assessment and skills needed to improve patient outcomes.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
