Blood Withdrawal Certification
This course is approved by the State of California (BVN/PT) for LVNs. Theory and clinical components will be completed in the course. Participants must be licensed RN's or LVN's OR RN/LVN students in their final semester. Live sticks and a written exam are required for course completion. BRN credit for RN's is not available since it is not considered an advanced skill.
To help facilitate live sticks, please come to the course well hydrated by drinking plenty of water, Gatorade or fruit juice. Caffeine consumption should be minimized the day of the course.
Course meets the requirements for Blood Withdrawal Certification for LVNs through the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, Course ID B-2030.
Course approved for LVN's through the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, Provider Number V-10835, for 8 hours of continuing education credit.
Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
