IV Therapy Certification - 5 Day

The IV Therapy Certification course requires a non-refundable, non-transferable prepayment when registering for the course. The non-refundable amount is $110.00 which includes the materials for the course.
The Intravenous Therapy Certification Course is approved by the State of California (BVN/PT) for LVN's. Concepts and competencies reviewed include related anatomy and physiology, access devices, drip calculations, blood product administration, TPN and troubleshooting techniques. Participants must be licensed RN's or LVN's OR RN/LVN students in their final semester. Live sticks and a written exam are required for course completion. RN's may attend the course, however, BRN continuing education is not available because it is not considered an advanced skill.
To help facilitate live sticks, please come to the course well hydrated by drinking plenty of water, Gatorade or fruit juice. Caffeine consumption should be minimized the day of the course.
Course approved for LVN's through the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, Provider Number V-10835, for 30 hours of continuing education credit.
Course meets the requirements for IV Therapy Certification for LVN's through the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians, Course ID I-1820.
The Manual of I.V. Therapeutics, 6th Edition, textbook will be utilized during this course. The cost of the textbook and any materials is included in the course fee listed as shown. If you bring the current textbook with you, to the first day of class, you will receive a textbook credit.

Please Note: Students who arrive after the 15 minute grace period will NOT be allowed to attend the course.
Professional attire/scrubs are expected to be worn when attending any Flex Ed course.
